How long have you worked in the fleet industry for?
I have eight years of experience in the fleet industry, backed by 16 years of automotive dealership operations.
Before joining Interleasing, my background as an electrician equipped me with a diverse skill set that adds value to our endeavours, including specialising in electric vehicles (EVs) – a focus area for us.
What does your role entail and what excites you about it?
Over the past year, my responsibilities have evolved from testing cutting-edge solutions to implementing them within our supply chains. Particularly noteworthy is our progress in dynamic load management for home charging EVs, and optimising the way EVs are charged at residential locations. Experiencing these strategic initiatives materialise and contribute to tangible benefits has been exceptionally rewarding.
What are some of the challenges that you help solve for clients?
Leveraging my background in electrical work and thorough understanding of EV infrastructure, we've adeptly tackled key challenges faced by our clients. By integrating solar components into EV chargers, we've enhanced reliability and cost-effectiveness, facilitating a smoother transition to electric fleets.
What are the biggest opportunities in the EV space for fleet managers?
The EV landscape presents significant opportunities for fleet managers, notably through FBT exemptions for eligible EVs and rapid technological advancements. Electric vehicles offer enhanced operational efficiency and cost savings, aligning well with forward-thinking fleet management strategies. Clients we’ve assisted include University of Tasmania, Red Cross and Hempel.

My professional journey began with diverse experiences within family businesses and a formative role at Coles during my high school years.

I'm inspired by the relentless pace of technological evolution. Witnessing the emergence of longer-range EVs and collaborating with manufacturers to address client needs fuels my passion for driving impactful change within the industry.
